My Books
My memoir, A Passion for Space let's you experience what it was like to be one of the first women in NASA's Mission Control. Shuttle Mission Control showcases 20 flight controller stories and 150 images from the early Shuttle era. My science fiction collection, Fly Me to the Moon, includes stories of how we might have survived a Space Shuttle disaster, how the rescued memories of an Alzheimer's patient may save a future Moon mission, and what a terminally-ill cancer patient may discover on Europa. Speaking of Space...
I have done extensive research on space history (with a special focus on women's roles in early programs) and astronomy in addition to my personal experience in the early Shuttle Program and as the author and technical editor of numerous publications on space and planetary science topics. I offer virtual and in-person programs for adult groups and conferences as well as author visits to homeschool, elementary, middle, and high school students.
