SPACE MOTIVATES ACHIEVEMENT
I know because it worked it for me. I was so determined to be part of the space program that I worked extra hard to get good grades, especially in math. Even though I got a C in my first physics course, my interest in space drove me to keep trying until I got Bs and then As. I stayed in school and was the first woman in my family to graduate from college, earning a degree in physics cum laude. I became one of the first ten women flight controllers, working as a Flight Activities Officer in Mission Control.
I left NASA to raise my children and now share my passion for space through writing and presentations. I have published five books, dozens of articles and short stories, served as science advisor and technical editor for magazines and book series and produce the annual souvenir books for the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement. I review books and serve on the Policy Committee for the National Space Society.
I offer programs for all ages, from short readings to all-day hands-on workshops. I am available by the
hour or project as a freelance editor and aerospace research consultant on space and astronomy topics. Based in Houston, Texas, I will travel to your location and also consider online chats and SKYPE visits.
Send E-mail or Contact me by phone or post. I look forward to hearing from you!
